PARENTAL ROUTER - SIMPLE GUIDE (for everyone)
========================================================

There is ONE program you open to look at everything:

   >> Double-click the blue shield "Parental Router" on your Desktop.
   >> Type your password: Metlili1!
   >> Click Unlock.

That's it. Everything is inside that one window (menu on the left).

--------------------------------------------------------
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO WATCH. YOU CAN USE ONE OR BOTH.
--------------------------------------------------------

============ OPTION A: THE RECORDER (full detail) ============

WHAT IT SHOWS: Everything -
   - the websites visited
   - PICTURES of the screen (what they saw)
   - what they TYPED (chats, searches, messages)

WHERE IT RUNS: on the CHILD'S computer (this one).

IS IT ON? YES. It is already running and it starts by itself
every time this computer turns on. You do nothing.
(Look near the clock, bottom-right, for the little shield.)

HOW TO SEE IT:
Open the app -> click "Activity" on the left -> pick the day.
Click any line to see the website, the picture, or the typing.

============ OPTION B: NETWORK SITES (names only) ============

WHAT IT SHOWS: ONLY the LIST of website names that ALL devices in
the house visit (phones, tablets, PCs).
It CANNOT show pictures, chats, or typing.
(That is impossible from the network - it's how the
                 internet's "lock" works.)

WHERE IT RUNS: on YOUR (parent) computer. Nothing on the kids' devices.

HOW TO TURN IT ON (two small steps, once):

STEP 1 - Start the logger on this PC:
Double-click "Start Network Sites Log" on your Desktop.
A blue Windows box asks permission -> click YES.
A shield appears near the clock = it is on.
(Keep this PC turned on for it to keep working.)

STEP 2 - Tell your router to use this PC (one-time):
      a) Open a web browser and go to: 192.168.1.1
      b) Log in to the router
(user/pass is on a sticker on the router, or:
             admin / tdk9q5u6)
      c) Find the setting called "DNS" (often under
         "Network" or "LAN" or "DHCP").
      d) Set the DNS to THIS computer's address:

               192.168.1.10

      e) Save. Restart the kids' devices (or wait a bit).

HOW TO SEE IT:
Open the app -> click "Network Sites" on the left -> pick the day.

NOTE: A clever kid can hide from Option B by turning on "Secure DNS"
in their browser. Option A (the recorder) cannot be hidden from.

--------------------------------------------------------
 WHICH SHOULD I USE?
--------------------------------------------------------

  - Want to REALLY know what a child sees/types? -> OPTION A (recorder).
  - Just want a quick "what sites is the family visiting" list,
with nothing installed on their devices? -> OPTION B (network).
  - Want both? Use both. They work together.

--------------------------------------------------------
 IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK
--------------------------------------------------------

  - App won't open: wait 10 seconds (first time is slow). If a blue
"Windows protected your PC" box shows, click "More info" -> "Run anyway".
  - The little shield disappeared from the clock: Windows Defender may
have removed it. Ask your helper to re-enable it.
  - Forgot the password: it CANNOT be recovered (that's for your privacy).
Your helper can reset it to start fresh.
